Family pictures!

We got some family pictures done in May and I was waiting for the final proofs and edited ones so I could post them on the blog! I finally got them and then found out the files were too big anyway...boo. So these are the smaller files that are not edited. Oh well, they're still fun! We had them done at an orchard in Provo by my good friend, Kimberly. We think they turned out wonderful! It was a beautiful place and it helps having a beautiful baby girl. Enjoy!

She's on the move!

Well, Emma has learned how to climb the stairs. That means two things: a new and exciting view for Emma and a very busy Mom. I have to watch her more and more all the time. I was trying to do laundry downstairs today and I looked away for about a minute and she was a 1/3 the way up the staircase. She is in heaven though! Something else to stimulate her mind!

Another thing Emma is absolutely enthralled with is the vacuum. I got it out today, set her on the ground, started vacuuming and it was hilarious! Her arms stayed in the same upright position the entire time, she did not move a muscle except for her head following the vacuum back and forth and back and forth. She loved it. It actually made vacumming more enjoyable for me...watching her concentrate so hard on what that weird contraption was.

She is also getting her second tooth now. This was taken a week ago showing her first tooth. Now she's sporting her second on the bottom...so cute.

I love this girl! Oh, I can't get enough of her smiles and giggles...funny thing about that...my family thinks she never smiles and giggles. She is a very very observant child and loves to watch people and her surroundings. She will watch people and things all day long and not get bored (as long as it's a relatively new environment), but her face will not change much..very sober. As you can tell from most of the pictures I post. But the fun thing about being her Mom...I get to enjoy her laughing quite often! She is so much fun now. Fun interacting more and more. I love her!

Laughing...it's contagious!

I LOVE this video. I can't ever get Emma laughing on camera, but of course with aunt Kisten...EVERYONE laughs! She is very contagious...so much so that she cracks up herself :)!! I love her. And Emma loves her Aunt Sisten! (The end of the video is the best. If this doesn't make you smile or laugh, I don't know what will).

Emma's cousins...always good times

Cade and I got to watch Wills and Henry so nathan and Steph could go out to a movie. We had lots of fun with them. Three kids...yeah, I think we can hold off having twins next...however, they were all relatively good! Wasn't too much like a zoo :). I love seeing Miss Emma and "Hamy" (that's what Wills calls him) next to each other. Emma is a lot longer than him, however he is already 10 lbs and she's only 14! Wow!

Look how adorable Henry is!

I put Emma in a little box to push her around and of course Wills needed a box too! I think this picture is sooo cute!

All three cousins together! Of course I couldn't get both Wills and Emma to smile at the same time...

Camping!

I absolutely LOVE being outdoors and one of my favorite things is camping! It is so fun to be with people you love, making tin foil dinners, roasting marshmellows, singing songs, and looking at the beautiful stars (although this trip...there were no stars sadly!). I booked a campsite just up Hobble Creek for my family to go. It was kind of last minute, but luckily everyone could go! It was Emma's first camping trip and she did really well! We brought the pack 'n play for her and she slept from 10:30 to 6:30. She couldn't fall asleep until things started quieting down, but she did better than we thought she would.

Wills found the Starbursts and was in heaven, this was the picture when he got caught...LOVE it...

Nathan, Steph, Wills, and little Henry came too! They only stayed until bedtime cause of having a newborn, but I'm glad they got to come for a while!
In the morning...Emma looks cute in her little beanie. Out of it, but cute!

She's getting her first little tooth on the bottom and I finally found something that she LOVES to chew on...

Kristen's boyfriend, Andrew. We really like him and it's so fun to have him around the family.

Uh, duh, um...Happy Birthday!!

July 8, 1982 11:02 a.m.

Yay! Happy Birthday Cade!! You have been the most wonderful thing that has happened to me. I am so grateful for you in my life. You are one of the most service-minded people I know and always put your focus on others. You are such a great example of how life should be lived. I love you!!! I hope you've had a great day so far!

A little dancing at Tucanos makes a birthday celebration just picture perfect :)

Emma's enjoyed your birthday thus far...

WE LOVE YOU!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

And I'm Proud to be An American!

I love the 4th of July holiday for a few reasons: family, food, and fireworks! Usually Cade and I go down to Arizona for this holiday. I've been down there for the last 4 years in a row and we sure missed being there....the Prescott fireworks, the boot race down Wiskey Row, marshmellow wars in the backyard, BBQ with the cousins, kickball, etc. It was also fun to be with my family too because I don't remember the last time our whole family was together for this holiday. We enjoyed the whole day. Emma got geared up for the big day...

She loved her boots...until of course she couldn't keep them on for longer than 2 minutes...

This was my patriotic side coming out...yay me!

We went to the fireworks right here in Pleasant Grove. Everyone enjoyed the fireworks...

Even Emma loved watching the bright lights and colors....

...Okay, for about 10 minutes...then she got really squirmy...Cade said, "man if fireworks can't keep her attention, nothing can!"...

...Then she got her bottle and she was good for a couple more minutes... (don't mind how big and creepy my eyes look)

Even with the way this country has been going with it's economy, the nasty oil spill, less than perfect political leaders...I am still proud to be an American!!! This country is far from perfect. However, I do enjoy a place where I feel safe with my family and I am able to worship the way I please. It's a great place to be for now!

God Bless America!
