Close Baby #5!

I still haven’t posted about being pregnant with baby #5! We have our 20 week ultra sound a few weeks ago and baby looks healthy. Such a blessing!! We did not find out the gender this time around. We have never waited until delivery to find out so we thought we would wait this time! It’s driving everyone around us nuts but we are excited about it. Also, because of the gender reveal gone wrong last time around (Dr. told me Lucy was a boy at 16 weeks and me surprising Cade)...no one would believe us if they said boy anyway!!! Cade tells people “we are waiting until she comes to find out her gender” :). My top names right now are girl: Jane Elizabeth and for boy: Beckham Cade or Benson Cade.

The girls are so excited! It’s fun to have them old enough that they actually understand what it all means. After my doctors appointment at 13 weeks we played a “hang man” game after dinner. They didn’t think anything of it until there were just a few letters left. The phrase was “Baby is coming!” First Emma figured it out and kept yelling, “I know what it is! I know what it is!” But she didn’t really get the FULL meaning. Then Reese and Emma both figured it out and kept saying “wait! Or real?? Is a baby coming? Are you going to have a baby?” It was so fun. Then I texted that video to Cade and my family to announce to them.

We are excited to add another special baby to the Close clan! Reese wants a girl, Emma wants a boy, and Nora and Lucy are not particular ;). Healthy baby is what we are praying for.
