Cade and the Prescott Hall of Fame
Cade's High School track team was being inducted into their High School Hall of Fame in August. At first we had a plane ticket for Cade to go down, but as it got closer (two days before) he decided he really did want me and the girls to be there and that it was worth the 20 hours of driving. So we packed up and just left to Arizona! It was a quick weekend but fun. There was a luncheon that we all ate at, then went to the football game where they did the recognition during half time. We are proud of him and it was fun to see something he was a part of 15 years ago!

Cade's First Century Bike Race!!!
We are SO proud of Daddy! This was Cade's first time training and finishing a century bike event. This was an event for his co-worker and friend Bryan Byrge who was killed over a year ago in a bike accident.
He says now, "if I knew it was going to be that hard, there's no way I would have signed up for the hardest relay." There were a few different events that you could have done and he has always wanted to do a Century, so he signed up for the long route!
But there ended up being many people who didn't finish and of those who did, and have finished many many centuries before said this was by far the hardest century they have ever done. And this was Cade's FIRST!!!
I am SO proud of him and for accomplishing this. He puts him mind to something and does it. I love that about him.
The girls and drove around and went to cheer him on the last bigger hill of the race. He said that was exactly what he needed at that moment. There were times during the morning that I felt like the girls and I needed to stop what we were doing and pray for Dad at that very moment. He was able to finish (he just about died, but he finished!) and we are proud of him!

Anniversary Number 8!
This year was a little different than past anniversaries. This year we decided to go camping just us two together and spend a day in the woods. First we started off the anniversary with going to our new LDS temple (tradition every year). We went through the Payson, Utah Temple which my Dad was the main designer/architect on it. It is absolutely gorgeous inside and out. SO much detail.
The next day my Mom watched the 3 girls and Cade and I spent the time up AF canyon at Timanooke Campground. It was beautiful weather and we enjoyed it so much. We made tin foil dinners, roasted marshmallows, went on walks, made dutch oven peach cobbler, played card games and watched a movie on a lap top in the tent. The next morning after making dutch oven breakfast casserole, we decided to pack up and head to the Provo River to float down it together. We were very much looking forward to that, until we showed up and they changed their hours on us and weren't open for us to do it :(. Boo. So we went back home a little early. Grandma Bleak said the girls did great and we had a wonderful time spending our 8th Anniversary in nature.
I am so grateful for my wonderful husband. Marrying him was the best decision I have made in this life. He is so giving of his time, talents, abilities to me and his 3 daughters and puts his all into everything he does. He truly does. He constantly wants to be better, do better and always puts the Lord first. I look up to him so much and he inspires me to be a better wife, mom and disciple of Christ. I love him and all that he is.

Boose Comes Home from Her Mission!
Sister Boose Boose, I mean Sister Bleak, got home from her mission!!! We had been looking forward to this for some time. The girls were so excited! But not quite as excited as Sisten, my mom and I were! Kristen surprised Boose by being at the airport to great her! Andrew let her fly to Utah the night before and Boose had no idea she would be there! The video was pretty priceless! I don' know if it will let me post it, but as soon as Kristen starts screaming and jumping up and down, you know Boose is in view coming down the escalator. It was a glorious reunion.
The cutest thing of ALL was how Reese would NOT leave Boose's side. She kept clinging to her the entire time and didn't want to let go. It was so sweet, especially because Reese doesn't get attached to very many people. She sure loves her aunt Boose (whom she is names after--Reese Marie).
Another amazing thing we were able to do the next morning was go to the Bountiful temple with my mom and sisters. It had been years since Kristen was able to go through (since her anxiety acting up), so being there with her and seeing her accomplish something so difficult and amazing was just incredible. I love my family so much and am so grateful I could be with them for eternity!

Family Boating Time! And Other Summer Fun!
We had a wonderful summer filled with family and outdoor activities. I LOVE being in the mountains so much. It will be so much fun in about 5 or so years when our children are old enough that we can all enjoy camping together every summer! We still take them, but enjoy is the key word :). I still do it and love to spend time together as a family in nature, but little babies and kids have a rough time at night not in their own beds. But I do want them to learn to love nature and God's creations and be able to be away from technology and distractions of the world.
Now to these pictures.
We had the Close's come visit us earlier in the summer. Tara and Tammy wanted to go to the Family History Center in Salt Lake and get some of their genealogy figured out. The kids all got to play together a lot and we loved having them with us.
The girls spent a lot of time outside and mostly in their swim suits. Nora would live outside if I let her. She always wants to play in the rocks or swing or "ride bikes" (mainly me pushing her around on a bike). We also love taking walks up Bridal Veil Falls, BBQing and eating outside, roasting marshmallows in our backyard, summer evenings outside with the cul-de-sac neighbors, and working in the yard pruning and gardening. The girls LOVED when Daddy and I cut down huge branches and they helped haul them to the truck. They were 5 times bigger than them so it took some muscles but they were pretty proud of themselves :).
In July we went to our annual Burton Family Reunion. This year it was held in Spanish Fork when my Mom and her siblings grew up. It was in the park just behind their small house they lived in. Nine people in one house with one bathroom and a couple bedrooms. We loved hearing some of their stories growing up.
We had a great time going on Grandma and Grandpa Bleak's boat. Cade and I have never really been that interested in boating mainly because we HATE being cold and the water is almost always cold and then you are wet on a boat and remain cold most of the time :). But we decided to get over it this year and we had a blast going with everyone. The girls especially loved it and of course got very tired out. Reese is a little fishy and wanted to just spend every moment in the water. Nora was hilarious though. She couldn't stand NOT being with me in the water so she would jump to me. But the water was cold so she'd start crying. So I'd put her back on the boat and she'd start crying because she wanted to be in the water, so she would jump to me and start crying because the water was cold! Over and over and over! It was so funny. We had some great times this summer and I am always a little sad when it's over, but then I remember next is fall and Utah falls are my favorite!
