Emma's Orchestra Concert

Emma had her first orchestra concert. Hopefully first of many. She had a great time and they sounded really good. I wish I could post the videos and show her off. But it was fun to hear her. This next Spring she gets to go to San Fransisco with her orchestra and also the band and choir from Lincoln. She is very excited.

Fall Fun

Some fun fall times! First set of pictures is at Sundance. This was the first time we made it all the way to the top (thanks to Gma Close for watching Benson!). Unfortunately I left Jane's pink coat at the top and Sundance Never recovered it in the lost and found.

Fall BYU football game with some Fishbowlers. It was fun to have Dale and especially Tara there with me! We had a great time talking and Cade spent time talking with all his Fishbowl guys.

We went to Gardner Village with Faith and went on our annual "Witch Hunt".

Nora has been wanting to get to know some more girls in her class. It's harder when you go to a charter school and there needs to be more effort made to get to know kids because they don't live in your immediate neighborhood. They played a couple games, had pizza, decorated cookies and watched Hocus Pocus 2 on the opening night. She had a great time.

Sunday walks up the canyon are the best! We love dry-deer creek trail by Granite Flats Campground. Quick but SO pretty!

We took another Sunday walk up to Bridal Veil Falls and took a picture where Cade proposed to me over 15 years ago! Now we have 6 kids and our family is complete. Life is so good.

Cade took the three oldest to a BYU Girls volleyball game and had a great time!

Labor Day Weekend Camping

It's always good to get up into the mountains! Unfortunately this time Benny had a high fever on and off so we didn't stay the night but we still had a great time in Timpooneke Campground. The girls found a fun area down below with a stream and lots of trees and moss that they turned into their fort. The mountains are still my favorite place to be :).

My 36th Birthday

I can't believe I am past 35 years old! Seems crazy but also this seems to be the best time of my life! I am loving where my children are at and where are family is at and there is nothing I would rather be doing that exactly what I am doing.

For my birthday I decided to get off my boo-hoo box and make my birthday fun. Cade is a salesman and has always had to work on my birthday and often a longer than normal day because it falls on the last day of the month (unless my bday is on a weekend). But this year I woke up that morning and asked Grandma Close if she wouldn't mind being here at the house while Benson napped so I could go up the canyon by myself. I brought my paddle board and went to Tibble Fork. IT WAS SO AMAZING! I loved being up there without lots of crowds and not having to keep an eye on any kiddos. I felt God's love and spirit up there and it was exactly what I needed and wanted for my birthday. I am grateful to Cade's mom for making that happen.

There was a bald eagle I got to watch for a while. That was cool.

Also the card Emma made me was absolutely incredible. I don't know how many hours it ended up taking but it was made with lots of love!

Bleak Bear Lake 2022

This was our last summer being able to use Sis. Maynes Cabin at Bear lake. So sad! We've had some amazing memories there and will miss having the same place to go. Our plan is to still do Bear lake next year but a different cabin for rent. We love coming to Bear Lake but this year we missed having Grandma and Grandpa Bleak there with us! They get home from their mission in March so next year we can have them back for summer. Also, this year Kristen and Andrew brought the boat they own. Boating was definitely my girls favorite part of Bear Lake. They didn't get enough tubing in their opinion but they loved it so much!

Boating Fun...

Some beach play...

Other fun...

Pictures in Sis. Maynes cabin of me and my missionary friends in 2006. Brings back so many memories.
