Emma Turns 14!

Happy 14th birthday Emma! She's growing up so fast and we love her so much! She has so much to give to others and this world. Emma is extremely talented and creative and it's so fun to see what cards she makes for others, the painting she does in painting class and stories she writes. Emma is such an amazing daughter and sisters. We love her and love her in our family.

We got back to thinking about Emma in her earlier years. From ages about 4-8, Emma LOVED to pose with the "Elsa hand". So I went back and found some pics of her cute pose she always wanted to do. She was OBSESSED with Elsa from Frozen (like many girls her age).

Then after the birthday we threw her a birthday party. We piled her and her friends in the big van and went on a city scavenger hunt. It ended up maybe being too many kids all doing it tougher but I think they still had a great time.

We then came back to the house and had some of Emma's favorite foods and opened gifts.

Halloween Time!

Jane's Dance class dressed up for Halloween and then in preschool they did a cute Halloween performance for parents and Grandparents.

Cade and I went to a Halloween dinner/party at the Grover's. Cade decided about 10 minutes before it started that he wanted me to be a witch and he my broom :). It ended up being great. (Pictures with Amberly and Larren Kingsford and Kat and Matt Swan).

Cade and I had tickets to take Emma to the last Harry Potter Movie- Utah Symphony style. Cade forgot about it and watched the last movie in the airplane home from London just a few days before. So Emma called her friend Ollie and he came with us. It was fun.

Carving Pumpkins together. Autumn often joins our family events.

Halloween parade at Lincoln-Academy...

It's been a few years but we went to Fishbowl to trick or treat on actual Halloween Day. It was fun. But as soon as we got home I hid Jane and Benson's candy and started over for the night :).

Going out for trick or treating! Grandma Close and Daddy came out with us this year. Emma and Grandpa handed out candy to the kiddos.

Fall Break at Home!

While the 4 of us were in London, the Grandparents held the fort down at home and did a fantastic job!! The most stressful part about leaving out of town is wondering if kiddos will be sick back at home. We were blessed and everyone was pretty much healthy. Benson got a cold and that was it. SUCH a blessing!!

Before I left I wrapped up one or two crafts/games/treats each day for the girls to do while Benson took a nap. They unwrapped things like painting rocks, halloween bingo, a gingerbread haunted house, etc. I also had planned a couple outings for each Grandma to take them out to do. They went to the Aquarium, the pumpkin patch, the Bean Museum, and Kangaroo Zoo. I think they had a great time and we are SO grateful to Grandma Bleak and Grandma and Grandpa Close for taking care of them and using their time to be with them and allow us to have an amazing trip.

Nora even got to go with Rachel Bagley to get ice cream and to Hobby Lobby. Mrs. Bagley has become a great friend to us all and Nora had a blast.
