Yep, I LOVE Disneyland...I kind of want to go back and live there forever. But you know, it makes it so much more priceless and fun and amazing when you only can go every so often. It had been 5 years since I've been (with Boose and my good friend Laurel). This time was amazing like always, but I got to spend this with my wonderful companion! Cade had a conference planned in LA Mon-Thurs morning. I was planning on spending the week with my Mom in Bountiful cause I hate sleeping at my house alone. Well, one evening I got a fun surprise on the floor of the garage...there were little Disney princess stickers on the floor. I followed the long trail to our bedroom where there was a note....
I have to start with another story. Cade and I decided that I should try and move my flight earlier Thursday morning so we could have the entire day Thursday to fit in as much fun as possible. We had called Delta and they said one option was to wake up at 3:50 a.m. (3 hrs before the flight) and see if there was still room to switch. Cade kept saying Tues. evening "now you have to set 3 alarms so you'll wake up that morning." Then I went to bed. I woke up sometime in the night when Emma was whinning. My head POPPED off my pillow and I panicked! "What time is it?!" I looked at my clock and it said 5:00 in the morning. I immediately picked up the phone and thought it was a lost cause...there were probably no more seats available! As I was talking to the automated person, I thought again "I HAVEN'T EVEN PACKED!" I freaked out again! There was no way I could make the 6:50 flight! Then I remembered....it wasn't Thursday yet...I started cracking up at myself and then went back to bed. Luckily on the REAL Thursday, I woke up when I was supposed to, was fully packed and ready to go :). (However, I couldn't sleep all night cause I was afraid I was going to miss my flight...again.)Usually CAde is the one to do crazy things in his sleep...he thought that story was pretty great!
Here are some great pictures from our trip:
I love these next pictures. So the first 2, I am hiding and not as enthusiastic as Cade, however the 3rd picture is from Tower of Terror...let's just say, not Cade's favorite ride. I've never heard him scream like that...EVER...oh, I'm laughing as I'm writing this. It was perhaps one of my favorite moments...I was laughing SO hard at him! I didn't make him go on it again, but it was a good memory :)!
We loved the Halloween decorations and theme! It made it so much more fun! On Friday night, there was Mickey's Halloween party and we're so glad we did it. Cade and I got to be kids again (if Disneyland alone didn't do that) we got to go trick or treating around the park, then at night there was a Halloween parade and an amazing Halloween Fireworks show. It was awesome!
And of course pictures with the Disney Princesses! This was by far the longest line we had to stand in. Most rides were only 15 minutes long....this took almost an hour. But hey, we were kids for the weekend and LOVED it!
Ah, yes, someday we'll take our children, but for now...Cade and I had a blast with just the two of us!!!
{If you want to share in some of the Disney and Halloween Fun:)
