Jane Update

 

My sweet little Janie-Boo! Oh, we love her so much. Jane is such a joy and happy with life (for the most part). She is happy reading books, playing with her sisters, and getting into all sorts of mischief! I can't leave her alone for for a minute or she is splashing toilet water all over her head, rubbing vapor rub all over her body, pulling out all of the floss, or ruining her sisters creations and school books. She is a very, very busy girl and cannot stand still for more than 2 seconds but such a delight at the same time! Jane loves to "pretend" play with her sisters or me and she loves to jump off of things like furniture. She loves to have movie night with the family and cuddle with Emma and Reese. Jane is still OBSSESSED with her binkys or "dddd" as she calls them. She is so sweet and giggles all the time. If Cade lets me sleep in I wake up to Jane's extremely loud voice...even though to her she is just talking :). She is also a sleeping champ and its been a dream to not have to worry about that. She sleeps 12-13 hours at night and a 2 hour nap during the day. 

Jane has quite the vocabulary! She is talking like crazy and is putting 2 and 3 words together all the time. "Mama, shoes. Here you go!" She loves animals and airplanes and balls. She is also scared of loud noises still. Whenever I make a smoothie in the blender she freaks out. 

Jane at her 15 and 18 month appointments was 21 and 23 pounds and around 32in and 34 inches tall. She is still around 90% for height and 60% for weight (as I write this in January). 

We love our sweet Jane and love having her in the family!

Well, I tried getting some recent pics of her but she refuses to hold still or smile for the camera. Gotta love this age :). 

Skiing and Winter Fun!

 This year Cade and I decided since we weren't going to be planning a big family vacation with Covid going on we would get season passes to Sundance for the family! So we bought them...and a few days later I found out I was expecting. So plans have kind of changed but it's still been good. All of us (obviously except Jane) signed up for a ski lesson the beginning of December and had a great time. I LOVED it and made me wish I could go all season. Cade and I had an instructor, Emma and Reese had one together and Nora and Lucy each had their own. Lucy didn't take to it and doesn't want to go again but the other 3 absolutely loved it and are so excited to keep going. Cade and Emma and Reese have gone 3 times so far and hopefully will go each week they can all winter. Cade feels like he is finally getting the Hang of it. Emma and Reese just go down like champs by themselves and hardly ever fall. They are awesome. Nora went a second time but I need to sign her up for one or two more lessons until she is more confident. I am excited to be able to use my pass next year and join the fam! So fun.

Backyard sledding fun! I'm glad we got at least little snow so they could run outside and sled in the neighbors yard. I am thankful the Warner's don't mind us sledding in their yard because it is SO convenient! It was Jane's first time too and she loved it...even though I Never saw her smile once. Haha. 

Reese's 9th Birthday & Treehouse Stay

 Reesie-Roo turned 9 years old! And 9 years old meant an over nighter Mommy/Daughter date and it was so much fun! She had fun opening her gifts in the morning and breaking open a tiny unicorn piñata from Grandma Close...with a SWORD. Daddy thought that was the best thing to use...or the most fun :). 

Reese is such a joy and entertainment to our family. She makes life fun for all of us and constantly likes to make us laugh. She does that through the way she talks, through dancing funny, through her sketch books and comic strips and doing impersonations of others. She is so funny! Her sisters all love playing with her and we love having her as a part of this family!

Our adventure in a treehouse! We had a blast playing games, eating food, watching movies and talking. I love spending one-on-one time with my girls!

Thanksgiving 2020

 Thanksgiving was a little different this year with covid but we made the most out of it! We decided to divide the entire family up into 2 groups to keep numbers lower since we have over 30 all together. Our family went over to Nathan and Steph's house with Grandma and Grandpa Bleak and Jordan and Faith. Then Jennie and Bryan and Boose went over to Kristen and Andrew's. 

We had a great time--even with mask wearing :). There was TONS of amazing food and I was so grateful for the amazing blessing of feeling okay enough to eat that day (this pregnancy was ROUGH up until the day of Thanksgiving and so I was dreading that day so much). Heavenly Father blessed me to have a good day that day and be able to enjoy most of the food. It was wonderful! And it's always fun to be with family. I can't imagine a Thanksgiving without extended family. 

Emma's 11th Birthday!

 

Miss Emma celebrated her 11th birthday! Crazy!! She is turning into an amazing young lady and one of my best friends. I love her so much. Emma has become an amazing helper and helps watch her younger siblings ALL THE TIME. She can babysit and put baby and her other sister down for bed at night or nap times. She has given me SO much freedom to run to the store or other errands or go out to eat with Cade and just leave her in charge. It's amazing!! Emma still loves to be creative and build and create things. She is SOOOOO creative and I love seeing what her mind comes up with. She draws and designs home layouts on paper, builds houses and buildings with LEGOS, builds amazing things with Tube-lox and much more. She is a delight in our home and I am grateful she is my first born!

Halloween Party and Trick or Treating

We were so excited to have our family over for a Halloween Party! Of course the DAY OF the party, the governor came out saying 10 people or less for social gatherings. So we panicked for a minute but then decided to try and do most of the party outside so we can follow state rules. It still was fun and turned out to be a great time. We had games for the kids- throw the spider and scavenger hunt, pudding eating contest and more. The food was all "spooky" themed and super fun. We love spending time with family!!!

On Halloween night we just went around part of the neighborhood...with our masks on :). Then we ate candy and watched Harry Potter! It was a great week of celebrating even with the virus ruining some things!
