Cade's Fishing Trip
Cade went with is Dad, uncle Johnny, cousins David and Kenny, and friend Trevor Tooke from work to San Diego for another fishing trip! Because Johnny (Tara's husband) couldn't go anymore, Cade invited his friend Trevor to go and they had a blast. They flew out Friday to San Diego, boarded the boat Friday evening, went out to sea all night, fished all day Saturday and half of Sunday and came back to shore Sunday evening. Then they flew back Monday morning. Cade caught about 10 fish and we had them in our freezer now to enjoy!

Bleak Family Stay-cation!!
We decided that each year we will switch off taking turns
planning the Bleak summer vacation. This year Nathan and Stephanie started us
out and instead of a Bleak family vacation somewhere else, we decided to do a
stay-cation…and it was SO much fun!!! Of course Nathan and Steph do an amazing
job planning and throwing parties.
Thursday night us adults went to the temple together and did
sealings. It was so neat to all be there in the temple together. So so neat.
Then we went out for dinner and dessert.
Friday we met up at Deer Creek and had rented two boats and
two wave runners. The only unfortunate thing was that we only had one hour of
good weather. Then it was cloudy, cold and SUPER windy. The waves were huge and
it just wasn’t fun weather to boat in. But Steph and her positive attitude made
it fun. She kept saying, “This is so much fun!!!!”
After boating, we went home and showered and such, then went back to Nathan and Steph's for yummy dinner, games, and family history with Grandma and Grandpa. That was probably a favorite part of the weekend. Adults and kids alike loved hearing the stories my Mom and Dad told about their parents. It's so fun to hear stories of those you have come from.
Saturday we met up at Thanksgiving Point for Family Pictures (which we've been trying to do for a year now and haven't taken in about 12 or 13 years!). After pictures we went back for really yummy pizza at Nathan and Step's house. Then the kiddos played in a huge blowup water park while the adults played Pickleball and card games. Dinner was yummy steak tacos and then was the best part of the weekend! Nathan and Steph watched all the kids (did a movie night and candy store) while the rest of us adults went on a treasure hunt all around Provo. We were on two teams (I was on team Mom with Bryan, Jennie, Cade me, and Mom) and we had to figure out the clue that took us to another location in Provo and then find the clue and take a picture at that place. It was so much fun! I hadn't done that I think since high school. It brings out the kids in us all :).
