Emma's Dance Recital June 2015

This was Emma's 2nd year at Dance Showcase Company. She was still the star of the show at her June Recital. Front, center, knew all the moves and right on with the music. She just loves it and I have to admit I absolutely love watching her and seeing her succeed at something. It's so much fun! This fall (as I am writing this post) she decided she wanted to take gymnastics with Reese instead of doing dance. We'll probably start up again next fall (if she wants to that is). She is such a cute, spunky, energetic performer and it's so fun to watch.

Nora is 18 Months!

Of course I am finally getting around to this post and Nora is 21 months now :). She is still just such a sweetheart and fun little toddler to be around. If her teeth aren't bothering her she really is a perfect little angel. Those 2 year molars have started giving her a rough time with makes her needy for Mommy a lot more than before. But I'll still take her sweet temperament and snuggles when I get them!

Nora loves being around her big sisters and Emma and Reese are SO good with her. Nora and Reese love to wrestle on the floor with each other and both play equally rough (until someone gets hurt). Reese will play toys with her and help her when she is hurt. Emma is a great little mommy and friend to Nora and is so gentle and kind with her. She helps her around new places and helps cheer Nora up when she is sad.

Nora is still a great little eater and sleeper. We have very very few nights where we are up with her in the middle of the night. She hasn't really gone through a needy phase and still goes into nursery just great as well as friends houses when I take Emma to music class by myself. She is such an entertaining little girl and is starting to talk SO much. Nora really knows how to communicate and loves learning new words. Most of all she is FULL of so much personality and we love her for it.

Mrs. Redd's Preschool Class of 2015

I loved Mrs. Redd's preschool- Little Redd School House. And Emma especially loved it (even though there really isn't anything Emma doesn't like :)). Mrs. Redd focused a lot of reading and math and getting them more than ready for Kindergarten, but she also made it really fun for the kids.

I loved being able to go on two of the field trips with Emma's class. I got to see how Emma acts in other places. She is quite the little leader and a lot of kids just flock to her because she loves being friends with and including everyone around her. She is not shy at all and really loves to make friends with everyone she meets (even though she often can't remember names. Hehehe. But you bet she is best friends with them!).

Then we had Emma's Graduation Day! They all looked so dang cute in their little red graduation robes :). It was held at a clubhouse in Cedar Hills close to the preschool. Emma was starting to get a bad cough that day and I am sure glad she made it through without too many coughing attacks! She is such a bright little girl and we are so happy to have her in our family!

AZ July Tradition

Our yearly 4th of July tradition continues in Prescott, Arizona! I am writing about this event many months after it happened so I can't remember too many details :). But of course the girls had a wonderful time visiting their cousins and Grandma and Grandpa Close. It's also a great time that the whole family has off of work and can really spend some great time together.

This year the kids participated in the kiddy parade and had a blast. We had just driven through the night so Nora and I stayed back at the house and rested :). Tara did a great job decorating a wagon and getting the boys all geared up for the fun!

Of course there was the annual Prescott parade and boot race. However, this year we did NOT get poured on and washed out! It was absolutely perfect weather. 

One of the favorite things the kids do at Grandma and Grandpa Close's house is ride 4 wheelers in the back yard. Reese also got brave enough this time to do them by herself!

Cade and I got a day and night away and it was very needed and wonderful! We met up with the Vizzard's and Egan's and cousin Tamara (and cute kiddos) and got to catch up. We stayed at a resort in Phoenix and played at the water park and ate good food. We just drove by the LDS Gilbert Temple for fun (but didn't attend this time). It was a wonderful time just the hubby and I!

We always love taking the girls to Prescott for the 4th. A tradition that may be continued for many years to come.
