We did so many fun things this summer as a family! So many fun things that I just couldn't do 45 different posts on each thing :). We really had a lot of time together to enjoy the warm weather, nature, friends and family. So in no particular order….
Memorial Day Picnic with the Bleak side.
We had the Lyman's and Robinson's over for FHE. They have become some of our best friends the last 5 years we've known them.
Cade and I got to go see Wicked in Salt Lake again! SO fun!
I have LOVED the summer rain! Emma, Reese and I love to go and dance in it together and race "boats" down the gutter. Anytime it starts pouring Emma will say "Mom, can we go boating?!"
Just up the street from our house is an awesome gem called Mania Pond. It is the best find of the summer. It has a roped off section that is a "beach" for the kids to play in. It is beautiful and the girls were so excited the entire time they couldn't handle it! So glad we found it. We will definitely be going there often in the years to come!
First family hike with 3 girls! We literally made it this far from our car……..
before Emma stated, "I"m tired!!! Are we there yet??"
It was awesome. It was her first time actually hiking instead of riding in the pack and she wasn't really a fan. I'm sure over the years though we will become a hiking family and most everyone will come to love it :).
Cade and his Mom and Grandma drove up to Idaho (crazy sper-of-the-moment story) for a Jones Family Reunion. Cade got to see a lot of his Mom's side of family history and it was really neat. He was glad he got to spend some time with his Grandma.
Cade's very first Triathlon! I was so proud of him. He has been running and biking a lot lately, but hasn't been able to put in a lot of time into swimming. But the great thing about this Tri is that the swimming part was in a pool so that helped out. We went to cheer him on at the PG pool. He did great!
Of course we can't not go to the Strawberry Days carnival!
Bubble wrap stomp painting for FHE :). The girls really had fun with this activity.
Odgen Temple Open House. Such a beautiful temple!
We went to Thanksgiving Point Farm with Grandma Bleak.
Cade participated in a ride for his friend and co-worked Bryan Byrge who was killed earlier this year on his bike on the way to work. Byrge was a great example of living life to its fullest.
Lastly, Cade allows me every year to go to Education Week at BYU. It's something I truly enjoy doing every summer. This year with a nursing baby I didn't think I could make it work but Cade was determined to get me there somehow. He took off two afternoons and I went Thursday with Sarah Robinson and Friday with my Mom. I love learning and especially going to the parenting classes.
Man, it was a great summer!!!
