Yellow dress, fuzzy bunny, and crazy family...

Happy Easter! I had such a great weekend with Easter and General Conference weekend in one...I don't know that it could have gotten any better. However, I now realize it's a LOT harder to pay attention to all the speakers now that I have a baby. Good thing we can read them any time with the technology we have these days!

It was a great day with a fun girls night at Applebees while the boys went to the Priesthood session. Then we had the most amazing mint ice cream oreo dessert! It's to die for! Easter morning Cade, Emma, and I found our baskets (Cade didn't hide mine very hard and even told me what room it was in. I hid his hard and told him good luck finding it :)).

Then we got Emma ready in her cute Easter dress. Even though it was snowy, Emma was our bright ray of sunshine.

We enjoyed playing games and even doing yoga poses too! Well, the yoga was just for my sisters. But I enjoyed taking pictures of them. It brought me back to when I was 7 and my Dad would teach Kristen and I different gymnastics moves while my mom video taped us. Good times :).

Gotta love color!

Yay! The painting in the house is almost done (that is until we move in and I decide it's not done :))! My Mom came a couple weeks ago and helped me paint and gave me a few tips. She is a pro because she painted (who knows how many square feet)our entire Bountiful house! She helped me do the kitchen and then I finished the family room in the same sage color. Then I ran into a friend at the store the week after and she said "I want to come help you paint!" And I definitely can't turn down someone who wants to help out :). So Lily came over and helped me do the office in a tan/beige color and touch up Cade and I's room. I think everything is turning out really good! Now I just have to finish Emma's room, clean everything, and start packing next week! We're trying to get everything done and move next Saturday the 17th. Then we'll finally be in our home!!!

My friend, Lily Miller. Love her!

The office (mind you, this used to be a disgusting yellow color)

The family room (This used to be gray. I was going to take a picture of the kitchen too, but there is stuff everywhere now!)

Cousin's Luncheon!

So last month Stephanie helped me plan a cousin's luncheon for the Burton side of the family. My cousin, Ashlianne, and her husband are leaving out of state soon and I've been wanting to plan this for a while, so I thought, why not now? I got emails from some cousins and had them forward it on to their siblings. For such short notice, we had quite the turnout! There were 26 people total (that's including a few children). It was great to see everyone and some cousin's that I haven't been able to see in quite some time. Here are some pictures from the good times! We're going to have to do it again soon!

Sporting the GREEN

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!! Hope you have a great day. I had lucky charms this morning...that was my tribute to the holiday.

Our New Home!!!

For those who haven't heard, Cade and I bought our first home! We are so excited. We have closed on it now, but will move in there in April. Right now I have having fun painting and working on a few things before we move in. It is in South Pleasant Grove and is in a really cute neighborhood. We love it!

Snow suits and Shots

Emma's aunt Tara gave her a cute snow suit before she was born and since we had the huge snowstorm a couple weeks ago, we thought it was the perfect time to bust it out! She looked awesome...have you seen "A Christmas Story"? The part where the little boy can't put his arms down cause he has so many layers on? That's what it reminded me of! It was hilarious! Here she is :):
(Man! The video won't upload. Tara, I'll email the video if it still won't show up on here:) ).

Emma also had her 4 month check up last week. She is healthy and doing really well! Her stats went from <1% in all categories (at 2 month check up), to still below 1% in weight, but jumped to 25% in height! Tall, just like her daddy! We're appy she is doing well. She also got her 4 month shots at the appointment and since we gave her tylenol at the doctor's office, this is how she felt (a little different than last time!):

Emma LOVES to suck on her hands. When she can't find them...her dress will do.

After bath time

Her fuzz is coming in on top :)

Videos for Grandma Close

We finally got the digital camera we wanted! I LOVE taking pictures...mainly of Emma...so we saved up money to get a new camera. We also wanted to get a digital that could also take HD video since Grandma and Granpa Close and Tara and Johnny don't currently live very close. Now they can see her grow up! So I started taking videos of Emma, but she will be smiling great until I get the camera out. Then she just becomes fixed on what I am holding above her head. It is great. I wish she would smile more for the camera, but she is still darling in them...well, I think so :).

Just talking away

Okay some smiling.... :)

Cutest sneeze (wait til the end)

Who else loved the weather this last couple days?! I went out and took Emma on a walk around the temple and we visited Daddy at work! It was so great to get outside. I love spring!
