My favorite 6 Year Old Pictures- Emma Bentley

I can't believe my girl is 6 years old now! She going to be baptized before we know it and then become a teenager not much longer after that! I may be getting ahead of myself a little, but time sure does go by quickly.

I love this girl so much and all that she offers. Some of my favorite things about Emma are:

-Her excitement for life and trying new things
-Her leadership qualities and ability to include everyone around her
-She is not scared of new experiences or circumstances
-Her creative mind. She LOVES being creative and always challenges me to use my creativity to help her with her many crafts :)
-Emma is such a good big sister to both Reese and Nora
-She is always such a great help around the house and ALWAYS willing to do anything I ask her.

We love our Miss Emma so much!

My favorite one of her:

Cade's Good Times!

I won't write many details since I wasn't there, but Cade got to fly down to AZ this year for man camp. His Dad joined and they had a blast like always. However, this year it was in style…in a mansion. But because it still involed guns and camp fires, they still called in Man Camp :).

Just had to put this random one in because I love that my wonderful husband calls me every day during lunch and often sends great pictures like this one :)...

Cade church calling is now with the Young Men of the ward. He really enjoys teaching them (every once in a while) and going to activities with them. Maybe someday we'll have a boy that he can do fun things with….just maybe...

Cade and some co-workers went down for the BYU-Utah Las Vegas Bowl game in December. He was the only one wearing BYU blue :). He had a great time even though the first quarter of the game was worse than rough. He was still glad he went though and is always a good sport when it comes to games.

Other Christmas/December Festivities!

This is a very random post of many things we got to do as a family during the last couple months.

We love our tradition of picking out a fresh Christmas tree each year. Emma was super excited about picking out a small one for their bedroom.

On a date with Miss Emma at the Vocal Point Christmas concert. Daddy was there for part of it with us until he was too sick to stay :(

Emma's Kindergarten program was awesome. I had almost forgotten how much Emma loves being on stage and performing. She is such a natural and does so well.

Her with Mrs. Cluff-

Her with Mrs. Shermwood (the teachers assistant)-

Reese's preschool program was SO cute! I was very impressed she knew (and did) all the words and actions. She loved being up there and it was so cute to watch.

We held a surprise baby shower for Stephanie at my house. She is having her first girl after three boys! We are so excited for her!

Can't forget our indoor pizza picnics when Daddy is out of town. The girls think it's great and it really doesn't take any extra creative time :).

Family sledding time! Too bad it was SOOOO cold that day, but we still had fun. Emma could go forever. Reese, Nora and I only lasted about 20 minutes :).

Other snow playing time!

We went to a drive-through light display that was called Christmas in Color. It was a long drive out there, but it was SO neat. All the lights flash and do cool things according to the music playing. We will have to make it a tradition for sure!

Making Gingerbread houses and playing Nativity Bingo...

Emma did this Rudolph chalk drawing at school and I absolutely LOVE it. She is quite the little artist and loves coloring, painting, creating. I framed it so we can use it as our Christmas decor over the years.

Cade and I started doing Daddy/daughter and Mommy/daughter dates with the girls. So far they've chosen to go swimming, Classic Skating, and Chuck E Cheese. Reese learned that Chuck E Cheese isn't quite as much fun as with Emma…Mommy was kind of boring. We love doing this with our girls and hope to continue forever.

Cade is great to let me have girls night and catch up on some great people in my life! Back to back I went to dinner with my Freshman year roommates to Olive Garden. It's been 11 years now- crazy! I love these girls and grateful for them.

Also got to have lunch with some of my Nauvoo girls! There were supposed to be 5 of the 10 of us that got together for lunch over the Christmas break, but because of weather and schedules it didn't quite work out. Ozzy and I got tougher for lunch and did Face Time with Heaps and JoJo after they had lunch tougher in Logan. I am SO grateful for our relationships and how we still love each other so much. I will forever love these wonderful ladies and the spiritual, amazing summer we had together.
