Just random pictures and fun moments with my girls! I love spending time with them SOOOO much!
Cade went with Emma's Young Women group rock climbing. Emma was amazing at rock climbing and had a great time!
Reese had her first guitar recital and before we headed over Cade turned to me and said, "Is she ready?" and I responded that I wasn't sure. She is a hard worker and loves to be efficient and quick and do things on her own. So we headed over to Thatcher's house and listened as she played "I Am a Child of God" and "Let it Go". She did AMAZING! She knew the songs very well and sang along with them and didn't seem at all scared to be in front of an audience. We are proud of her hard work.
Nora also has been learning the violin and has a new teacher, Karen Blalock. She is an excellent teacher and is really helping Nora solidify the basics. Nora is working so hard and getting through the hard lessons. Emma starts cello lessons tomorrow as well in addition to piano lessons (same with Reese). I love music being a super important part of our family and grateful the girls want to learn these instruments all on their own. I LOVE music!
UPDATED POST
Since I last wrote the above, Reese has now been taking guitar from Sis. Christensen in the ward and Nora continues violin with Karen Blalock. Emma also started cello lessons the beginning of summer and has been enjoying that as well. The best is when they get to have little jam sessions with their dad on guitar. I love it so much and love that music is a part of our home and family!
It's been 14 years of good times! We love being able to celebrate our anniversary in the temple and this year was extra special. Because of the covid-19 pandemic, temples all over the world have been closed for about a year and a half. This was the first time Cade and I were able to be in the temple together in that amount of time. The absence of being in the temple made us appreciate it that much more.
The only way being in the temple was possible was because of my cousin and husband, Jessica and Peter Osborn. They watched ALL 6 of our kiddos for us. And lets be honest..they and their house are so much fun the girls wanted to stay there all week long and didn't miss us for a minute :). They got to swim, eat pizza and soda and cake and ice cream. They had a fabulous time!
It was so neat that Cade got to take Emma to the Draper temple along with some other young women for Emma's first time. Since the re-opening of temples amidst covid it's been extremely hard to find an opening for youth to do baptisms. Cade said it was a very neat experience. I can't wait until I can go with her too!
